I cannot believe that 2 1/2 weeks has already gone by since Maycee was born. The lack of sleep makes me feel a bit out of things. Don't get me wrong, for the most part Maycee Moo is a great sleeper. She has a good schedule in the evening eat at 7, 10 ish, 2ish and then 530ish. I usually try to get up around 7 or 730 to monitor the kiddos and get Maycee more on their schedule. Life with 3 kiddos is manageable but I still don't usually take all 3 anywhere unless we don't have to leave the car haha
Things I am loving right now:
-watching Maycee sleep...even though she is my 3rd I never get sick of seeing babies' sleeping faces
-Hudson coming home from preschool with so many cool projects
-Hadley being such a good helper with Maycee
-pinning things on Pinterest while nursing Maycee
-Fall colors while we drive around
-Making WAY too many yummy treats
-Comfy clothes and hair bands (that actually hold all my thick hair)
-Mike's AH-Mazing ability to rock and burp Maycee so I can sleep after she is fed
-7 pm bedtime so that life without 2 loud kiddos resumes for a few hours
-Favorite TV indulgences: Parenthood, Suburgatory, Whitney and of course Grey's and Biggest Loser
Fabric for a blessing dress awaits sewing. But that is mostly what is on my to do list right now.
Life is good. We are blessed. What more can I say?

Miss Maycee Harper
Here I am at 38 weeks and 3 days…feeling like she will never come! I was horrible at taking belly pics this time around. Guess that is what happens when you already have 2 crazies running around.
I went to the Dr on Monday the 3rd and was progressing along exactly like I did with Hadley (almost 3 and 75%). As I mentioned before in my “ughhhh I am still prego post” the Dr said I could have her any day now. He told me he was on call a lot this week too. I thought good then maybe you will deliver her instead of that dr at your office with the incredibly short shorts…a whole other story there. haha
Mike and I had been doing a lot of walking at night to try and speed things along but it had been pouring rain the last few days so I wasn’t really able to walk. On Wednesday night though, after not being able to walk at all Tuesday, I said I didn’t care if it was pouring, that we were going walking. We decided to do 2 times around the mile loop we had been doing. And we stopped in Shopko (cuz our loop walks around a bunch of stores) since it was so cold outside. I did some laps around the store and we got the kiddos some BSU stuff for the baby to bring to them when she was born. (They are both obsessed with all things Boise State, especially Hadley!)
After we were done walking around, (we actually had to go back to the store because neither of us had our wallets so we walked back again) we watched a show on tv with my mom and Ray. I kept feeling like I was having some contractions on and off but nothing really painful so I didn’t even bother to finish packing our hospital bag that night because I didn’t want to jinx it. I even told Mike that I thought I should pack it but wasn’t going to because of that!
I woke up at 3:46am with a pretty painful contraction. I decided to keep an eye on them and time them to see if they were close. If I ever have them 8 minutes apart or less, it has meant I am really in labor. So I had another contraction at 354, then 402, 410 and 418. This is when I woke Mike up. I had been gripping his arm during them but somehow he managed to sleep through all of that! haha I couldn’t get him to wake up so I whacked him on the arm. He is like don’t hit me, because he didn’t realize I was going into labor. He finally snaps out of it and gets up and starts packing the bag once my next contractions were all only 4 minutes apart. Yep, it jumped from 8 to 4 minutes just like that. So 422, 426 and 430…then random 436 and 440. I am starting to really be in pain and also realizing this is definitely no false alarm. We try to hurry and pack and I tell my mom we are leaving about 5ish. I had my last contraction before leaving while mike was loading up the car around 513…I will also mention I couldn’t find him outside and then realized he was in the garage carrying this green turtle in from the Pilot. I guess he was still out of it thinking we needed to put the baby car seat in the Pilot but it was already in the other car. haha I won’t let him forget that. It cracked me up!
We got to the hospital after 3 annoying contractions or so in the car. Those things are so painful and every movement of the car was really bugging me! The lady at the Labor and Delivery Triage was filing papers or something so she sort of took her sweet time coming over and getting us in and then weighing us. Then she took us to the room. The nurse, Lacy came in and started asking us a bunch of questions and got me hooked up to a penicillin IV since I tested positive this time for Group B Strep. She checked me and said, yep, we are definitely having a baby today you are at an 8. I was hoping for at least a 5 or 6 so that made me happy!
They had me lay on the bed while they monitored the baby and the contractions, finished asking me the questions and were going to have me go to the next room, I said I would walk originally and then realized I didn’t think that was going to be possible with all the pain. So they wheeled me in the bed into the delivery room. She said she could tell I was getting close to completion because I was pushing myself away from the bed during the 2 minute walk to the room. So she checked me once we got in there and I was at a 9 1/2. She paged my Dr who was just across the way sleeping. She said she could catch the baby for me if she had to but she didn’t make enough money to really do that so she hoped she wouldn’t have to!!
Next thing I know, a few other nurses are coming in the room, I am wondering where the freak the dr is and thinking the nurse really is going to have to catch the baby! Right then, the dr walks in all suited up and walks right over and delivers the baby, just in time I might add! I think this was the best experience I have had as far as the dr coaching me through pushing small pushes and when to stop. Plus, pushing lasted like no time at all which is pretty darn nice too!
Maycee Harper was born at 6:04 am just 2 hrs and 20 min after I started having contractions. We made it to the hospital about 35 or 40 minutes before she was born but with all they did, it went by like 5 minutes. I was SO glad we didn’t wait at home any longer. No babies born on the interstate for me!!
The dr took this pic for us right after he insisted on Mike taking a picture of the placenta. Can we just say yuck?? I will spare you all a look at that.
Proud Daddy!
The kiddos opening up their gifts. They were so excited.
Hadley had to throw on her cheerleading outfit right then!
Hadley is just in love with “Maycee Moo”
Hudson told me it is just so much fun having a new baby. Then he said I love Maycee. (Glad they are both so excited!)
We have to watch how excited they are! They want to smother her with kisses and hugs.
Grandma with the new baby
Grandpa checking her out
Grandma and Grandpa S came to visit her too. Everyone says she is a keeper!
Her first bath in the hospital
Very warm, content and clean after her bath
Our amazing view from our room. Boise is just so beautiful! I am so glad we are back here again!
She loves to sleep by me. In fact, any time she is crying, if she just hears my voice or is handed to me, she has stopped immediately. She definitely knows who her momma is and prefers her. I am sure she will soon be a huge fan of the rest of her family though too.
This is her in her going home outfit. We stayed at the hospital til Sunday afternoon. Thanks again to my mom and Ray for watching the kiddos. It was so nice to get a little R&R and not have to worry about the kiddos at all.
Such a good eater and sleeper she is too! (Please ignore my matted wet hair haha!)
My brother Bryan with Maycee
This is Bryan, his wife Amee and little guy Tanner. Her cousin Tanner finally gave in and held her too.
She is a great baby so far. She eats really well and at the dr yesterday, she had already gotten back up to 7 lbs 4 oz…just 1 oz away from her birth weight which they expect by 2 weeks not 4 days old! haha
She loves to sleep by me and really sleeps better at night if she does. She usually does 3 1/2 to 4 hour stretches of eating at night so I do get some rest…occasionally! She doesn’t really cry too much either. She has quite a bit of dark hair and a lot of her personality reminds me of Hudson so far. She does a lot of the same things he did as a newborn. Can’t wait to see her grow!
The kiddos call her Maycee Moo and Hudson has started calling her Mimi or Mimi Moomoo. Guess that is fitting since he always calls Hadley “Mooney” Who knows where he gets all of that from!

Baby Update
Yep. I am still fat. Still prego. I am 38 weeks and 6 days. Not that anyone is counting. ha
I had already had Hadley at this point so with that and with the nurse telling me at my appt on Monday that she thought I would have her over the last weekend. I am getting a bit annoyed at my current state! The dr said he figures she will come anyday...yeah, shocker there! I am at the same point I was with Hadley so I am just getting that annoyed pregnancy attitude I seem to pick up when I feel miserable. You know, constant lower back ache. Peeing every hour on the hour at night. Swollen feet and hands (a first for me). My wedding ring not fitting (also a first). My right thumb has been half asleep feeling for the last few weeks...a very odd sensation.
The rainy weather has not done much to lighten my mood. It means no walking for me and no outside play for the kids. We are cooped up and I am going nuts! Thank goodness for preschool or I don't know how we would have made it this week!
I am optimistic I will have her soon...like hopefully within the next 9 days. haha I don't think I can go past my due date like I did with Huds. But since I don't want to be induced...only time will tell!
No, I am not complaining. I actually like being pregnant past the beginning sick stage. Plus, after not being able to get pregnant for so long with Hudson, I realize what an incredible blessing it is. So I am not complaining. Just stating some facts in a somewhat negative tone.
Plus, we had a name all picked out and the last month or so I have been unsure about it. So we have now added a few other names to the bunch. Hopefully we will figure out the name when she is born.
Here is to hoping for labor pains and a quick fast labor. (Huds was 13 hrs and Hads was 6 so maybe this will be like 3??) Either way, I can do labor. I just need to get to that point!

Phone Pics
I was just cleaning off my phone and founds some random pics that made me smile.
Ever since Hadley has been potty trained, she insists on putting on her own underwear and pants. Sometimes she gets things a bit backwards.
She thought it was the coolest thing to wear these goggles.
I am not sure why the kiddos think it is a good idea to wear undies on their head like this. But they love to do it.
Huds has become a master at the monkey bars. He insists on having NO ONE touch him while he does it.
One day we chased around a hot air balloon and saw it land right by us. It was really cool.
Hudson will randomly come out wearing mine or Mike’s clothes and hats. He thinks its pretty hilarious.
Good times eating at BK and playing on the toys. Gotta remember that for the LONG winter months ahead!
Hadley made herself a bed in this tote my Mom had in her living room. She thought it was pretty clever!
The two kiddos waiting to leave to go camping. Hadley is only allowed her paci when she is “laying down” aka naptime or bedtime. She is so addicted to it…should have taken that away months ago. But now with the new baby, we will be waiting a bit longer.
Hudson and his oh so cool lady bug hat he made at preschool.

Grayback Gulch Camping
We enjoyed another night of camping while it was still warm.
I think it might be the kids fave new thing to do!
But who can blame them when they are running around in the dirt.
Throwing sticks into the fire.
And of course, throwing a football around.
My mom and I enjoyed chilling in the chairs.
Checking out nature.
Having Mike take a photo of me without makeup on that is SUPER close!
Making breakfast was great, especially since we had the camp trailer there to help with the prep.
This is our new fave pastime for the summer. Can’t wait to go again next year.
Especially since I won’t be 35 weeks pregnant!!

First Day of Preschool
We were lucky enough to find a great preschool really close by my Mom’s house. It literally takes me 3 or 4 minutes to drive there or we can walk there in about 15….probably would take less but I am totally fat and prego pushing two kids in a stroller! He goes Mondays and Wednesdays for 2 1/2 hrs. It is perfect!
Huds was so excited to start! He picked his clothes out and got dressed really fast that day!
Mostly I think he couldn’t wait to use his Lightning McQueen back pack. Yep, most of you that know me know I don’t really dig kid’s characters of any thing to wear but Huds was just so excited about this back pack. I figured this phase wouldn’t last for long and so Mike and I gave in!
Huds and Mike before Mike left for work
And here is a lovely shot of me prego with no makeup and Huds. But I couldn’t not have one of the two of us on this big day!! I didn’t cry and either did he. In fact, he really just wanted me to let him walk up on his own and show what a big boy he was!
He loves his class and his teacher and it is so nice to have a little one on one with Hadley. Although I must say, by the time he is done, I am so ready to have him back. Sometimes it is too quiet without him!
