The nice thing about going on a trip right before Christmas, you have to have everything mailed out, bought and wrapped under the tree. So on Christmas Eve, we were just chillin. We went out for pizza for lunch. I had dinner in the oven early...mmmm bacon wrapped chicken. So good!
So Huds and I decided to make Santa some sugar cookies. He was a big help.
Did I ever mention our oven is NEVER the right temperature?!! It usually is 100 degrees off. But can also be anywhere from 50-75 degrees off on a fairly regular basis too. One never knows what you will get.
Hudson picked the frosting colors: white, yellow and purple. Looks a little like Easter. Oh, and these were 2 of Santa’s cookies with about half the thing of sprinkles on that yellow one. Whoops.
Then we went outside and sprinkled some Reindeer Chow for the reindeer to find their way to our house.
Then we did a little elfing of ourselves. Hudson was cracking up. He wanted to keep watching it over and over. In fact, he took this picture of us with the camera. I never know what pictures are going to be on there when I upload them.
And the kiddos opened their one token Christmas Eve gift of pj’s I made them. Hadley is looking impressed.
Hudson immediately put his on so then Hadley wanted hers too. Hudson was SO excited for Santa to come. We were tracking him online and he kept asking where Santa was in the world, as if he knew where all of these random countries were. Then he kept asking questions about how Santa came down the chimney and how he would find us. Then he wondered where Santa lived and said he didn’t like milk. He was jumping and running all over the place. I was worried he wouldn’t sleep, but he did, like a champ.
