Sun Valley Trip

003

Mike had to do a few “CLE” courses (aka Continuing Legal Education). Every lawyer in Idaho is required to do 30 credits every 3 years. So he decided to take advantage of this big Idaho Bar Association Conference they were having in Sun Valley. Ah, Sun Valley. What a beautiful place. It was held at the Sun Valley Lodge there, which is absolutely gorgeous too!

008

002

We checked out a pizza place, Wise Guy Pizza Pie. Hello. I think I died and went to pizza heaven. It was fanatastic. The salad was fab. The garlic knots were scrumptious melt in your mouth and the pizza may have been the best I have ever had. So good!

012

We checked out some of the stores while Mike was busy educating himself. I really am not as bored as I look in the above pic.

001

Hadley after her nap ready to live it up in the Sun Valley life.

005

We found a park the second day and the kiddos had a blast on the swings.

The airplanes

Hadley even made a new friend. She loved this dog. He matched her hair so I guess it was meant to be. I think she would have loved to take her home with us but I just don’t think we have room for someone that big!

023

Huds climbing up a tree with a friend he made at the park. I was just praying he wouldn’t fall and break his arm or something! Turns out, Huds had an earache the whole trip and yet he was a trooper.

Good food, good company and now Mike has some CLE credits out of the way for the next 3 years. I think we need to make this trip yearly…but next time, maybe I can come without the kiddos!! haha

Happy 2nd Birthday Hadley!!

004005

Hadley had a great birthday and in honor of being 2, we had two celebrations for her too!

007012014

This girl has a fascination for motorcycles!

022032

A nice healthy dose of fake food. The kiddos were so excited!

004

More gift opening….

006

Yay for more pink princess stuff!

013

Loved this pic of the three of them…

017

Yay for pink candles and pink cupcakes!

025

I think she is a fan!

036

Loving all the fun gifts!

Hadley is such a fun, VERY unique personality. She is such a momma’s girl and does not really like to play with toys a whole lot. She likes to mimic and do what I am doing. Sometimes fun, sometimes slightly hard to deal with.

She loves being a big girl. She has to go pee on the potty, all by herself. She insists on doing things all alone. She loves to eat and would eat pretty much all day if you let her.

She is addicted to her paci and I am so not ready to take it away because I worry about the wrath of the non-paci during sleep times. She does not get it any other time than nap and nighttime though. She loves going on walks and thinks she is older than she is.

She thinks she can swim by herself in the big pool and tries to push you away so she can do it alone. She loves doing the back float and jumping in the pool too, over and over and over again.

She loves to sing songs and knows quite a few of them. She picks them up so easily. She is getting better at wanting to read books but she usually only lasts a few pages. She would much rather dance or sing.

She loves to play games on the computer, even if it only lasts 2 or 3 minutes with her attention span.

She is a really happy sweet girl who loves to give hugs and loves. She loves to say hi to everyone and is very social. She is a sweet fun two year old!

You never know….

002

what you are going to get with the kiddos around. Huds is being “tall” here.

004

He and Hadley left their Sesame Street Characters in the garden area. Guess it was a surprise for Grammy.

Stars and Stripes

013

Better late than never on this 4th of July post!!! haha

014

Those poppers are just too much fun!

015

Look at how big those kiddos are getting!

025

Mike gets a gold star on his chart for being best Dad of the day. He took the kiddos to buy fireworks, then to a park, and then out to lunch.

028

They made friends just about each place they went cuz these little kiddos cannot stop talking to people everywhere we go.

029

Action shot of Huds ready to fire those poppers!

041

This mommy appreciated a quiet morning with some designing and some sewing. The perfect start to a great day!

064

Love this family of red, white and blue!!

070

My sweet little happy Hadder Hoo

087

Huds and Grandma gearing up for the “big” fireworks show. haha

109

Huds trying to see if he can out shriek the fireworks.

123

Grand finale….not quite the show it could have been if it was dark but hey, Huds needed to get in bed.

Lawn Boy

001

Hudson loves to help mow everyone’s lawn. He loves the riding lawn mower with Grandpa Lyon (and riding on their 4 wheelers too).

001

He also loves to ride on people’s backs when they are mowing the lawn….or vacuuming it like Mike calls it. Yep, that is an electric lawn mower that you plug in. Kind of random but really cool.

003

He has his Grandpa in a choke hold. haha

005

He is having a blast. Hope he has that much fun when we ask him to mow it by himself when he gets older.

Park Time

001

The kiddos are always wanting to go on a walk with their grandparents in the mornings. But mostly they love to go to the park to play.

007

Hadley and her cute pink cheeks when she gets warm….oh, and I am referring to her face cheeks not the other ones.

008

Huds is starting to master the monkey bars. He keeps trying them and wants to do more and more by himself.

011

Huds is also starting to get really good at his bike. He no longer pedals with his feet turned out all funny. It must be time to raise up the training wheels to add a little more excitement.

Four Alarm What??

CIMG0015

One Sunday afternoon at the end of June, we started hearing all of these sirens driving by. The first one or two you just sort of ignore. But by the 5th or 6th fire truck, we knew something was going on. So we took a walk to check it out. We saw that melting car above.

CIMG0017

And a whole lot of this spraying action going on. (Sorry if the first two pics are not fantastic, they were taken with my phone). But it was quite the excitement for everyone in the neighborhood. Guess this is a lesson that you do NOT put hot coals in your trash can.

027

The next day, you would have thought we had our own fire. The kiddos were buzzing about a spider. How they could even see it clear up there I have NO idea!! They had to call Grandpa over to take care of it. He even had to get on a stool to reach.

028

Everyone was there in the thick of it. Luckily, we got the spider and our own four alarm emergency was over.
