7 months...a little late

So about a week or so ago...Hadley turned 7 months old. I know this is late but Mike asked me if I ever did a post for her. So I figured it was better late than never!Hadley is such a sweet happy little thing. She is always smiling unless of course her big brother decides to try and lay on her. Something I am always on the lookout for. Even then, sometimes she is okay with it as long as he is not body slamming her. She loves to play with trains and car guys when she gets the chance because they are usually off limits. Can you tell I am not really sure what to do with a girl? We have very few girl toys and I can't even begin to think of what else to get her. Which I know sounds weird and all since I am a girl. But its not like I remember what I played with at this age.She does love books and loves to be read to. She usually can't keep her hands off the books though. She loves to be right in the middle of things and touching and feeling things out for herself. She stunt double rolls all across the floor and took up real crawling about when she turned 7 months. She is getting good fast, too dang good for my liking! She loves to blow bubbles and make loud sounds with her tongue and lips. (as seen in the above picture) She pretty much eats anything and everything. She cannot get fed fast enough most of the time. She still nurses in about 5-6 minutes flat. Yeah, I said she was fast. She always has been, which is why it hasn't been complete torture this time. (I have an extremely hard time just sitting there feeding my kids for a long period of time. It drives me nuts!!) Hadley's favorite toys are Teddy's Shapes and Colors electronic book, her leapfrog music table and her crazy haired doll. She loves to try and play with our printer too so I have had to make some adjustments with that. She loves to sing songs...or rather listen to them! She loves patty cake and head and shoulders. She giggles non-stop at Hudson. She is a real ego booster for him since she thinks he is hilarious! She is also a Daddy's girl. She lights up when he gets home and will just smile and watch him until he pays her attention. She just loves it!! Good thing the feeling is mutual! She just barely cut back on her 3rd nap. So she sleeps 2 naps a day (9am and 1pm) and sleeps at night about 7 to 7. So nice to have a good sleeper. She is such a sweet happy thing. It's no wonder she has easily wiggled right into our hearts! Oh, and if you haven't noticed, just about everyone thinks she looks just like Hudson.
I guess he looks like her too. Sorry Mike! But he begged me to let him wear this. He thinks it's cool right now, but I am sure he will kill me later!! He eventually took it off because he said it was too tight on his head.

Sleeping

I went upstairs to get ready for bed the other night. And realized everyone was asleep, including Mike. So I did what every girl would do, I ran and grabbed my camera!The funny thing was that apparently Hadley was actually not asleep. Shhh! Don't tell her Daddy!This is Hudson's fort. He went through about a week where he insisted we make a fort every time he went to bed. (His fort pretty much was just a blanket draped over the top of his crib.)

Up and Goin'

I have been trying to get her on video for the last week or so doing this with pretty much no success. She is exactly how Hudson was at this age. Every time I get out the camera, she stops doing everything and is very enthralled with the thing in her face. Can't blame her really! Gotta love cameras!! So we have officially moved into the hair raising and tearing out stage of our lives. Hudson is so freaked that she can get all of his toys wherever they are. I am freaked that she can get into cords and other things and she is everywhere ALL the time. So FAST!! She does this roll across the room too that reminds me of a stunt man, er uh, woman. Its pretty cute to watch. So anyway, my days of her being a "quiet baby that sleeps ALL the time and pretty much the easiest kid ever" stage has ended. Well I guess it ended a while ago but it really ended now. It is so fun to watch her get so excited to crawl across the room and terrorize Hudson by getting his trains though. It's almost like its payback time!

And yeah, I have a ton of posts still to do. But hopefully I will get to them in the next few days so I can be caught up and moving on to something much more needed...like my house being cleaned. But this is SO much more fun!

Oh man...

So its been a bit of a lame blogging year for me so far. I don't know what is up with that but sorry. I can hear my aunt in Idaho telling me I need to blog more often to keep her entertained at work. I am not doing a very good job at that....

But we are all still sick. Yuck!

My mom is visiting, which is SO nice!

I am hoping to have more to blog about after her stay....

Impressions

Some of us sleep so hard we get sleep impressions on our faces. Hadley is pretty much the poster child for this. She sleeps so hard and twisted around that her head and nose get impressions from her pack and play. Almost every time I go get her up from a nap, she has these funny little marks all over her forehead. The first time it totally caught me off guard and I was like, what is that??! But now, it surprises me if she doesn't have them.
I am bettin' you can tell we don't have a lot of things going on around here with this being my most recent blog post! Mike and I are mostly better, thank goodness. Hudson and Haddie are both stuck with on and off again high fevers, hacking coughs and nasty breathing. We have had to give both of them breathing treatments and they still sound yucky. Its the only time I have seen Hudson fall asleep in the car (or anywhere for that matter!) HOURS before his naptime. Or for him to ask to go to bed. He has been a sweet cuddler and laying around on the couches and floor. Poor guy.

Hadley still rolls ALL over the floor, with an occasional crawl. The girl has been "crawling" backwards for a while whether its on her hands/knees or on her back scrunching up and scooting...now that is funny to watch. But anyway, she is constantly getting into everything. It drives Hudson (and me) crazy. He did let her play with Sarge (one of the Car guys) yesterday. I couldn't believe it! He usually freaks if she plays with his trains or car guys especially if they are anywhere near her mouth. I think we are moving into a new phase....or at least hoping. She sounds hoarse and totally congested. But her spirits for the most part seem to be the same.

A bunch of Sickos

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have been detained with a certain yuckiness, the flu. It was pretty much torture the whole week. It is hard to be sick and feel like taking care of kids so I am grateful Mike didn't have to be gone too long on the days that I was seriously feeling it. That is why we wish family were closer, so we could infect them with our sick kids. haha No, just because there isn't anybody around like your mom when you are sick. Mike is a darn good close 2nd. Then of course he got it. That was bad because I still had it. So we have been a ball of fun around here. Hence the lack of posts. Now we are on the mend, mostly. But our kids now have fevers and hacking coughs. I swear. It never ends.
