Last Sunday, Hudson had been up in his room for a nap/quiet time. I had been hearing him playing softly up there and then all of a sudden I didn't hear anything anymore. Then I heard Hadley up in her room because she had just woken up from her nap. So I went up there to get her and as I am heading up the stairs, Hudson is crying saying he hurt his lip. Sure enough, his lip is bleeding in a few spots. I asked him what happened and he said he was trying to be just like daddy and he was using a razor!! I about freaked!! It had been up in our room on top of our dresser (for safe keeping) and I thought our bedroom was locked. But I guess we forgot to lock it and Hudson had used a toy to climb on top of to reach the top of the dresser. He kept asking us to blow on it to help the pain go away. Razor cuts are no fun. Let's hope its our last.
He also ate about 8-10 Vitamin C and jacked up his little tummy for the evening. I think he has learned his lesson on both accounts and we have learned ours. ALWAYS lock our bedroom door!! Nothing is safe even when you think it is!
We have been having some bad luck lately though with people getting hurt. Mike took a huge gash out of his toe from a folded up moving box as he was doing a cockroach sweep one morning (I am paranoid and don't want any lingering bugs around here so we always do a sweep before we let the kids loose to play). Then Hadley got her finger cut with a pair of kid scissors, man does that girl bleed. Luckily, it is growing together just fine and healing up nicely. That is one of the bad things about being in a new place without a set Dr yet. Then later that day she tripped and bit her lip and her tongue pretty bad. Both bleeders. Hudson also tried climbing on the side of a cart (one of those weiney carts at the dollar store) and just as I was telling him to not do that or he might get hurt, it tips over into a display which gets knocked all over and he gets these 4 gashes and a huge bump on the back of his head. Oh, the joy of being a mom to toddlers and in the midst of moving. I swear both are accident prone!

Hudson's Pride and Joy
Hudson made this castle all by himself and he was SO proud of it. None of us wanted to knock it over to clean it up so we just left it like this for awhile. He put a gorilla guy and some other toys in the castle too. He asked me to take a picture of it for him. What a funny kiddo!

Just for fun
I am going through all of my pictures from the summer and am finding some that I totally forgot about.
This was just all of us having some fun. Hudson took most of them.
But he always likes to post and have me take a few of him too. Glad he likes having his picture taken.

A Favorite Outfit
You know how you get those favorite outfits for your kiddos. There are certain ones that I always look forward to them wearing.
This was one of those for Hadley. I was just sad she didn't get to wear it longer!! She was such a big girl though that she grew out of it too fast for my liking!
Look at that belly!!

Summer Get Away
My mom and I had a fun little get away this summer. It was just a quick over night trip but it was a blast! The kiddos came along too which made it even more exciting. We headed to the big metropolis of Rexburg, Idaho. We went to see the "bead lady." She has the cutest beads. I had gone everywhere in Boise and a few places in SLC and nothing compared to her beads. We bought a ton of beads and have some awesome projects in store. I have already made 4 bracelets and 1 watch band. It is so fun!
But while I was there, I was able to go get ice cream with some friends from KS. It was good to see them and made me think back on all of our fun girl's nights with so many great friends from KS. I am REALLY going to miss those GNO. I have already talked to a few girls here and I think I will be starting it up. I always looked forward to those nights so I can't imagine not having them!!

Our little photog
Hudson just loves our camera. He loves to take pictures all over the house. I must admit, I do find it pretty hilarious when I look back on some of the pictures that he has taken. Some really unflattering ones of me, some random ceiling or floor pics. But here are some of my favorites:He was so excited to take pictures of his trains.
This is after we had his train table set up in our new place. He said he HAD to take a picture of it.
The best thing about all of them, its on his level. He has a totally different eye for pictures than I do just because of his angle. I hope he continues to love photography.

SHhhhh
I love sleeping babies. I just cannot get enough. I could just sit and watch them. Sometimes, when they look so sweet, I can't help but take pictures of them.
These first few are from June over the summer in Idaho. This one is from Georgia right after we moved here (please excuse the toy mess it is way more organized now I swear!). Hudson rolled off his bed onto the floor and had his pillow over his head. He has always loved to sleep with things covering his head. Seems too hot to me. He is a funny kiddo.

Living in a Zoo
Trip to the Boise Zoo was a lot of fun, yet extremely hot. I must be a wimp because I cannot seem to handle the heat anymore. They gave us tokens to vote for oil spill recovery efforts.
Hudson loved watching it spiral into the bin.
We checked out the newest Zoo addition.
Hudson drove around a vehicle.
Then he gave Dad a ride.
Hadley thought it was pretty cool but she really wants to drive next time.
This is us cruising around the zoo in style. (We bought this sit and stand at the beginning of the summer. And we LOVE it!)
Hudson saw some of his favorite animals.
He was having a blast!
He even got to feed some goats. He has always loved feeding the goats at the Topeka Zoo but he was a little more cautious here. But in the end, he fed them.
He posed on his favorite tiger at the zoo.
He went through a prairie dog tunnel and checked them out through the view windows underneath.
Hadley kicked back and enjoyed the ride!

Rose Garden
Mike and I were at home one afternoon and the kiddos were going bonkers. They were practically driving us up the walls we were going so nutso! So we decided they needed to get outside, which is what usually helps when they are like this. We went to the zoo. Only it was closing in 15 min. Who knew it closed so early?!
We went to a nearby rose garden to take a walk. It was SO beautiful yet pretty darn hot!
We checked out the cool blue fountain.
Mike looks like he is going crazy the way he is grabbing his head. Makes me laugh. It was probably the bar studying getting to him!!

Family Day!
So I am super behind on blogging...yeah anyone who still actually reads this blog realizes I have become a super slacker with keeping up on our family whereabouts. Since I started the blog to make books from and keep a journal of what we are up to...I will have to go back to July 5th where I left off on my list of things to blog. Hopefully I can get caught up today or maybe tomorrow...
We celebrated the 4th of July with my mom, step-dad, and brothers at Ann Morrison Park in Boise. So here is picture overload galore! We started the day off with a yummy picnic.
Hudson was playing with and searching for sticks. A favorite passion of his lately.
Hadley is all about gettin' some food. She doesn't really dislike any food. She wants anything, anytime.
It was a lot of fun hanging out with my brothers too. I sure miss them when we live far away.
Hadley and Hudson got some time in at the playground.
I think this was Hadley's first time on a swing. She seemed to really like it. I remember that Hudson wasn't a huge fan his first time so it was good to see she could kick back and enjoy it.
They had a big sidewalk chalk art festival here the day or two before so we were able to check out some fantastic pieces. This one was the winner of the people's choice.
The fountain at this park is fantastic. The water shoots so high in the air and just drops down like rain on you. Hudson was having an absolute blast. He and his uncle were getting pretty wet.
Hadley and her grandma getting a little wet. It was so stinkin' hot, it felt so good!

Hadley is just like her brother, she loves water. She was loving this fountain and was getting mad that I wouldn't just let her walk over to it by herself. Here are some pics of just her and I. I don't seem to have other people take pics of me and the kiddos as much as I would like so it was fun to see there were so many of her and I that were taken.

Feeding the ducks was a blast. They come right up to you and demand bread. Hudson and I were trying to chuck it as far away from us as possible just to get them to back off!

We ended the day at my mom's jumping on the tramp, BBQ'ing and having homemade ice cream. We also played a few rounds of Pandemic. (Highly recommend that game if you haven't played it!)
