Where oh where

So where have we been this month? Apparently not bloggin. Ready for this??

We have been to an Atlanta Hawks vs. Utah Jazz game, did a craft fair with a friend, sewed another 878 flowers to be sold at Anthropologie (did 807 last month), Mike finished up classes with just his finals to go, had a craft night here with friends, had a fab turkey dinner (which I didn't take any pics of..shame on me!), Black Friday shopping, had a fantastic Cuban dinner auctioned off at a RS function, tailgated before the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech Game, taught a lesson and played MarioKart online with friends....to just name a few. It has been a SUPER busy month. Most didn't get pics taken of but oh well, it has been a ton of fun. Ooohh, and we found a super awesome mexican restaurant here, Casa Mia. A new fave of ours.

Now we just need to finish decorating for the holidays. We have some fun trips planned and I cannot wait!! So I am sorry I have been bad about commenting on anyone else's blog lately but I do look at them. Maybe one day I will be more on top of things again like I once was...until then, I will just be in my frazzled current state!

Sweet sleeper

Neither of my kiddos have fallen asleep in random places like high chairs or whatever. That was until Sunday. Hadley and Hudson both have been sick. Apparently, with the time change and needing some extra sleep, Hadley needed a nap. I was working in the kitchen with my back to her and finally realized she stopped "talking" to me. So I turned around and found this:Poor thing. Looks pretty uncomfortable to me. I whisked her off to bed but only after I took pictures of her first.

Carving Pumpkins

This is Hudson dancing out of control as we got ready to carve.
Mike making the first cuts.
The goop inside.
Hudson not being so sure he wants to help now that he touched it.
He did end up helping but he preferred to use a spoon. For a kiddo that has never liked to have his hands goopy, I am not surprised. And of course, I forgot to get a picture with the finished pumpkins. Oh well, maybe next year right?!

Trunk or Treat

Here are our goblins...er, actually the candy corn:

and the ghost (per his request):Our ward's trunk or treat was fantastic! They had SO many games and fun things for the kiddos to do. But Huds got hot so off went the costume after about 5 minutes.
Here he is with a spider painted on his face.
He went fishing for some fun little toys.
A donut contest.
Bobbing for Rubber duckies with prizes.Playing I Spy.Then we played with balls on the other half of the gym. There was a target throwing game.He colored some ghostly pictures.
Threw some bean bags into the buckets. Good aim Huds!
Last but not least, his favorite game of all, the magnetic dart board.

Then it was time for some candy gettin' but too bad it was pouring rain. So we "trunk" or treated in the church classrooms. We scored some great loot and the kiddos had a great time.

The World's Greatest Pumpkin Patch

We looked for a pumpkin patch that wasn't too far to drive to and didn't cost $20 something bucks a piece to get in. We found the BEST one we have ever been to and it was only about 20-25 minutes away.
They had this great tube slide that actually didn't break your back every time you went down it. It was SO fun!
They had a pumpkin launcher. Hudson and Mike had a blast getting pumpkins to go really far across the field.
You can barely see our little pumpkin up flying in the air.The sweet kiddos by the tractor. Our family pic by the huge tractor. I love that Hudson is looking far off in the distance.Loved this pic of Hadley and Mike.Playing some holes of Hill-Billy Golf.Hudson was pretty good at hitting the ball with his broom. Here is one of the "holes." Guess that is why they call it Hill-Billy Golf!
Hudson got a hole in one on this one. He was SO excited!
Hadley exploring everything. Good thing there was lots of room for this wiggler to run.
Checking out the corn box.
Hudson getting a little more into it.
Here we are at Oinker Downs watching the pigs race.
I think Sausage won the race. The sign you always have to take a yearly photo at. I love the saying on this one though.
And here is Hadley's.
The kiddos and I on the hayride.
Mike and Hadley ridin' along.
Love the trees in the back with the Fall colors.
Here we are riding the animal train. So fun!
The kiddos loved this bounce house. Some farm animals to fatten up.
Hudson giggled whenever his hands got licked. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer.
The kiddos and I on one of the many photo op spots. Loved this place!!
Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Rounding out the trip

in Athens!! We went to the State Botanical Gardens here. It is huge. So cool. I can only imagine how gorgeous it is with all the flowers blooming. I am definitely going back in the spring.
Hudson thought it was so cool he was the same height as the statues.
We also did the Music Walking Tour. It is a self-guided tour. Since my bros are music gurus we thought it would be really cool. There is so much history in music here. This is an old church steeple at a church where REM did their first show together at a birthday party.
Anyone recognize the saying on this sign? REM was inspired by them.
Also, on the cover of one of their first albums. Pretty cool to see it all in person.
Hudson decorating his haunted house with Grandma.
They worked and worked on that roof but it ended up caving in on one side. Oh well, it looked more dilapidated that way.
The final product, spookified.
Us rocking out to rockband. Luckily, Brent was able to start feeling better just in time to jam.
Brent is a bonafied drummer. As in real life he is. Not just during the game. Man, he was tearing it up at expert level. I was in awe!
Bry is a real guitarist. It was cool to see him rock it out during the game too. I always wondered if it would help them be better at it than the rest of us.
Mike jamming on the guitar. Which meant I was left to the mic. Not bad though. I love belting out tunes.
Here is Brent rocking out. of. control.
The end.
